A new day brings a new addition to the Legends of Adrigal soundtrack. This theme plays upon being victorious in battle. There's the fanfare, and then a repeated series of phrases is repeated. It was a much shorter loop, but Fat Bard's Patrick Crecelius encouraged me to add more to it. It came out sounding quite nice overall.

Village of Snow and Ice added to the Legends of Adrigal soundtrack
I hate wasting things! Even though development on Chickadee, my Breakout-style tale, is on hold, I feel like I shouldn't let some good things from that game go to waste. Now, that's not to say I'm picking at a corpse, as Chickadee is merely on hiatus. I'm just taking some of the themes I wrote for that game and retooling them for Legends of Adrigal.
This theme was for the ice world of Chickadee, but now, with some instrument changes, it's a theme for a snowy village that has yet to be named or designed.
It's important I keep at work on Legends of Adrigal (which, rest assured, I'm doing), so I can make it so I can implement this song into the game!

New piece of concept art for Legends of Adrigal! Meet Monica!
UPDATED: 3/17/16 - Edited version of Monica. Take a look at her thinner legs to make them more proportional to her arms and rest of her body, as well as her longer, more detailed hair! She also has completed legs now! Give me a Y. Give me an A. Give me another Y. YAY!
ORIGINAL POST:
Monica is a cheerleader, but she isn't some prissy princess type. Not to say that cheerleaders are generally like that, but in fiction that seems to be a common theme. Anyway, there's no stereotype here, as Monica is quite the tomboy, and quite the butt kicker when it comes to standing up for her friends.
This piece of concept art is one I'm proud of. I think the arms a little too skinny compared to Monica's legs, but I'm always looking for a second, third, fourth, etc. opinion. If you missed my first piece of concept art which just so happened to star Casey, our hero, then check it out at this link.

Legends of Adrigal Progress Report - Meeting the Mayor
Yesterday, I shared some screenshots showing off the first person our hero Casey interacts with at his arrival in the video game and world of Adrigal. Today, we continue on from that interaction, moving on to Casey meeting with the mayor of the township of Mabel, Edgar. As you might recall, Edgar is Grandma Posey's husband, and she suggested that Casey meet with him as he is more knowledgeable on Casey's role as the so-called Chosen One. The following bits and pieces of the conversation between Casey and Edgar are shown below. Please enjoy.
And thus, Nemus joins Casey's party as the first addition. As an added bonus here, check out Casey's first sight of a save point in the kingdom of Adrigal.

Legends of Adrigal Progress Report - Arriving in Adrigal
I've been sick all week, so instead of going into my internship at Pixel Press and making everyone ill with my contagious cold, I've been hacking, coughing, and sneezing my way through my days off. However, now I'm getting through the drainage part of my cold, so it shall soon pass hopefully.
While feeling better, I have had time to move forward with Legends of Adrigal after some time off. Last night I worked on retooling some dialogue and early story elements within the game, specifically where Casey enters into the Adrigal video game. He arrives out cold in an outcropping just south of a peaceful countryside town called Mabel. Thankfully, a kindly old woman spots him before night falls and nurses him back to health. Here is the scene that follows-- note that the entire conversation is not shared here due to not wanting to have a plethora of screenshots.
Tomorrow I will share the scene that occurs with the mayor of Mabel, Edgar. The scene is more involved and has more dialogue, so it will take some more work to get the proper screens and post them all.
