Exclusive look at the opening scenes of Legends of Adrigal

I have something special to share with readers of my personal gaming blog this weekend! Last evening I spent more than six hours fine-tuning the timing, dialogue, and scenario of the opening scenes of Legends of Adrigal, my upcoming turn-based RPG with some Zelda-like item usage in dungeons and fields. I shall now share some screenshots of the opening with you. Warning: There are a lot of them, so I'm going to post them after the break.

Legends of Adrigal starts out with an overview of Central City High. As the school bell rings, releasing the students from class, hero Casey and his book smart friend Noah walk out the front door into the front plaza.

Uh-oh. This can't be good.
Nathan is a bit of a bully, so yes, this definitely cannot be good.
Watch your language, Nathan.
This scene is supposed to divulge some beginning information about the three main heroes of the game. You learn that the three (Nathan not included, the third will be here shortly) have a history together of great friendship.

Casey gets in the way of Nathan's punch towards Noah, and gets rocked in the gut. Before Nathan can do the same to Noah, someone interrupts the scene.
Hey! It's the feisty and friendly cheerleader Monica!

Some post-bully scene dialogue.
After the scene, you gain control of Casey, albeit just to be able to talk to the students hanging around the front plaza, including this bashful student. Note: You don't have to talk to any of these students to progress the game.
Well, aren't YOU full of yourself!
After talking to Monica and telling her that you're ready to head to your home, the three heroes travel home from school using the main street of Central City.

Time to find out if Burlington's does!
Could this be a reference to something?
This is definitely a reference to something.
Moving along, the three get stopped by the whispering of a mysterious man.

Apparently the mysterious man overheard the three talking about getting a new video game.

Against Noah's judgment, Casey agrees to take home the game.

Casey earns his first major item in Legends of Adrigal.
The three head to Casey's house. Why didn't Noah want to go home to his own house? That's a question for another time.

An optional task for Casey to take care of, if desired.
After talking to Noah and Monica, who are ready to see this new game, Casey inserts the disc into the game console.
It looks cool so far.
Dropped by a defeated dragon, Casey's avatar earns a crystal sword. Apparently he now needs to insert the sword into a shrine's pedestal, as instructed by the game.
At first, nothing happens. Then, all hell breaks loose with a guttural demonic voice and bright flashes of light.
A glowing ball of light envelopes around Noah, making him disappear.
Soon, Monica is also engulfed by this light.
Casey is the final of the three taken over by this light.
Dazed and confused, Casey arrives in an outcrop of sorts.
An elderly lady saunters down into the valley.
A nice deed indeed!
